Saint-Gobain Hot Surface Crystar® Igniters
They provide quick, reliable ignition for all sorts of dryer systems. The model 101 igniter is made of high-purity CRYSTAR® recrystallized silicon carbide, and is designed for long-term dependability and service.
At 120V, the igniter typically reaches ignition temperature in less than thirty seconds. Even in voltage situations as low as 80V, the igniter will still reach ignition temperature within 60 seconds. It has 18-gauge leads embedded and metallized in place for maximum holding strength and electrical conductivity. The leads are enclosed with high temperature fiberglass insulation, providing total electrical protection. The igniter is cemented into a ceramic block for protection against current leakage under high temperature and humidity conditions.
